We packed up the car and had breakfast with Dana and Bill and then headed towards Las Vegas. Bill and Dana, thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. We ended up stopping at Lake Mead Park (which is below the Hoover Dam) and having a picnic lunch before we headed to the Hoover Dam.
It took about an hour (from a mile away) to get to the Hoover Dam due to all the traffic. Upon arrival we decided to take the tour of the power plant and spent about 2 hours at the Hoover Dam. It is certainly an impressive piece of engineering.
We then continued on our way to Las Vegas and went out to a Chinese restaurant for dinner before meeting up with Greg and Debbie Stoiber. We were to meet them at 8:00PM and we were driving by their condo around 7:00 and met them just as they were returning from their daughters home. The 2 bedroom condo that they rented is in Las Vegas and is in a gated community and is in a beautiful area. We spent some time visiting with them before we called it a night.
