Rita, John, and I woke up very early on Monday morning and got up and left the hotel before they even had the continental breakfast out. Everyone was anxious to arrive in Colorado Springs. Driving from Lincoln, Nebraska to the Colorado border was a challange as the roads were covered with slush but we still managed to make good time. We arrived at Hugh and Mary Ann's at 1:30 (Mountain Time) and had a wonderful afternoon and evening with them. Linda stopped over and we took a short walk up the canyon. That evening Hugh's daughter, Laurie and her family came over and we had a very pleasant visit with them. I think we all went to bed around 9:00PM as we had gotten up so early. On Tuesday we will take the drive up the mountain to the cabin's that Hugh and Mary Ann have and go horseback riding and spend the evening at the cabin.
